GW and Tunstall____Round 1__!!!!
Well, if you all haven't already heard the game was all washed out, for Tunstall at least. Monday, March 20th, was an awful night, both in the weather forecast and also Tunstall's score against GW. The game began with Tunstall having the kickoff and GW's fast forwards soon controlling the attack. The Lady Eagles scored their first goal, of 4, after a run down the center of the field. Later a corner kick was able to score GW's second goal and this pattern continued as the Eagles scored again, on a down field run and then a corner kick. But all four goals were scored during the first half of the game, as Tunstall was able to find the right set-up to defend the goal and prevent any more damage to the score during the second half!! Overall, this was a good show of Tunstall's endurance and their struggle to play the best game possible, the conditions were rough and so were the Eagles, but Tunstall gave GW a huge "run-for-their-money".
The next day at practice neither the boys nor the girls teams were given a gameball. This, at least for the girls' match, was due to the fact that every player put forth amazing effort and Coach Parrish knows that both teams can at least score one goal against our "cross-town' rivals.
