First Game, First Loss of the Season....

To comment on our game Wed. March 18th, against Halifax. The game began quickly as Tunstall was first to have possession and Halifax held control of the ball for most of the first half. The beginning 20 min., or so, went smoothly as Tunstall's defense worked well against the fast Halifax attackers. But as we approached, approx. the 25 min. mark, the tables began to turn against Tunstall. As Halifax scored all 4 goals within about 7 min. of each other. This awakening of Halifax's score was heart-breaking to an emotional Tunstall team. But throughout the rest of the half, Tunstall held strong and kept the score,0-4.

During halftime the group quickly discovered their weaknesses and what needed to be done next, with the help of Coach Parrish. So during the second half of the evening Tunstall had several attacks at the Halifax goal. With 2-3 corner kicks and well played throw-ins and field "runs". However the Comets of Halifax were able to score one last goal. The Trojans did not allow this to affect them, as they continued to play will all their strength and hearts.

The next day at practice defensive captain, Kristen W, was awarded the game ball, a symbolic gesture that is given to the player who showed the most heart and had a great game. Kristen then handed the ball to defensive/midfield player Haley D, who also had a good game and in the words of the defensive captain,"talked well and spoke when no one else would".
